Message from Pastor Brian - September 2010

We had a great "Rally Day" last Sunday, focused on sending the kid's back to school in style! The Kid's Choir did a great job.

Lately I’ve been thinking about the privilege we have to seek the Lord’s presence at anytime. We often allow our sin and shame to keep us from Him but we need to remember that if we are Christ followers than we have been delivered from our sin and we can come boldly into His presence. Heb. 10: 19 & 22 says, “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, …let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith.” God isn’t looking for perfect people. He is looking for worshippers who worship Him in spirit and truth. (Jn. 5:23)

Let’s passionately seek the Lord’s presence asking the Holy Spirit to work in us as we do. The Holy Spirit opens blind eyes and allows us to see the truth. Let’s seek a demonstration of the Spirit’s power in what we do for the Lord. Like Paul says in I Cor. 2:1-5, we don’t have anything to offer except Jesus and Him crucified. Let’s pray and seek that our worship and work for the Lord would be marked by His power so that people would put their faith and focus in the mighty power of God!
